Hey, I was just wondering if anyone elses zune is getting really hot after the new update? Ive been told its because of the games running through the hard drive but i dont know. Any ideas what it might be or how to keep it cool cause it might over heat you never know.

I think you posted this in the wrong section, but so far mines been working fine. I don't see why it would cause any problems. Most of us here have been running games for a while before the 3.0 release. Why should anything happen to them now? Although I do have a 4gb which has flash memory along with the 8 gb instead of a hard drive that comes with the 30gb and 80gb. I'm not sure about those, but I highly doubt it.

dude, mine hasn't been getting hot, but when i turn it on it makes this weird clicking noise for a few seconds. i tried re-installing the games and it worked. to reinstall the games, uninstall them directly from the zune. then on zune software, click settings>device>device update>install games. hope it helps.

I believe that the problem has something to do with the 3.0 firmware games not having to restart after shutdown. The system may be using more ram than usual, thus getting hot. I have had the same overheating thing (usually with hexic, not any other xna games). I recommend just sitting it on a cool surface (if available), or just stop playing the game for like 30 seconds. Even though they warm up slightly, they cool down quickly.
