Did you have your Zune connected while you were updating the software?

That seems to be a problem. You may just need to wipe your Zune and start over. All those things can be caused by a conected Zune during the update. It could also relate to a game you installed, or corrupted files on your Zune. You want to make sure the zune is fully charged before you update too.

I'm sorry to say that at this moment, the easiest way to fix your zune would be to wipe it. It doesn't matter if it is off or on. Hold Back, Center, and Play/Pause for about 5-10 seconds to wipe the Zune, then you can start over.
