Default My Zune just stopped working.

I just finished charging my Zune and I went to go to listen to it and it suddenly froze while I was listening to some music. And ever since then it has stopped working. It will not even confirm that it is connected to the computer. I tried checking if it was locked and holding the play button down for a long period of time or the middle button. Nothing works. Just a blank, black screen.

Does it do anything at all if it is connected to the computer, or will the zune software just not show it is connected?

same thing happened to me today too. Is there anyway to fix it.

You know what I should have done though is that I should not have turn it off with the play button and see if the battery would have died

sorry for double posting.....It says something is connected on the computer but the zune software doesn't detect it and nothing different will happen to the zune screen

My zune froze this morning but I got it back by doing the following:

Press and holding the back button and up on the pad buton. If you go to the stick note in this board that talks about handy key combinations, it will help. By holding that key combination, it reset my zune but DID NOT delete anything. It did a reboot of the zune.

Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem right now with my new 120. I know the reboot steps (I had a Zune 30 before this which was stolen) but the darn 120 won't respond. Even worse is it's stuck on one screen - hopefully it won't burn in the screen. I figured that if I hooked it up to the computer it would do the trick, but no-go. MS obviously has some bugs to work out on the new 120's.

If your Zune does not respond, please call customer support at 1-877-GET-ZUNE, 6am-9pm PST, 7 days a week. If your Zune is within its warranty, they can authorize a repair. (they are pretty quick - I just got mine back in just over a week).

Hope that helps...
