Exclamation error code C00D124F

I have Zune 30GB Brown. Here is the problem. Sometime ago it buzzed and I turned it off and then turned on again. But when I turned it back on, it showed on the display only Zune logo, and then send number 5, go to support, and then I was trying to format it and I pressed back+left+center. First it came out like please wait… then clearing content, then connect to the computer for installing firmware, I was trying to do that but the respond was an error that said I don’t have enough of space on my Zune, error code C00D124F. It suggested to go to the website but on the official website it said that there is no resolution for this problem is not found yet.

If anybody know how to fix it please let me know… thanks a lot and I really appreciate it.

I have the exact same issue with my 80G . i went through the support and did exactly whats listed about and now i cannot in any way or form turn of my zune, its stuck telling me to connect to pc, if i do and try the zune software it jumps to the install firmware page and will not install as "out of space" .. its not out of space cos its an 80G device and i'd only uses 20G or less.

HELP!!! google brought me here, and the other 6 forums I've joined today not even the MS lam ass excuse for a helpdesk could fix this.

I finally got it working! Here's what I did:
1. Reboot the Zune with left button + Up on the middle button
2. While it reboots push and hold both left and right button. This should format the Zune
3. Power down the Zune with left button + Down on the middle button
4. Plug the Zune in your computer. When the Zune software starts and prompts for a firmware upgrade click Install
5. After installing the firmware synchronise the Zune with your content.

I remember having that problem as well with my Zune, when I tried updating to 2.5. Even after formatting it, it still said it was full. The way I fixed it was by installing the firmware using my computer at my grandparents house. I don't know if you have that option though....
