help with charging/connecting my zune!

I've had my Zune for over a year now and never have had any major problems.
But today,I went to sync some songs over to my Zune 30, and its not detecting my Zune. I tried restarting my computer, using a new USB port, restarting my zune with the back and top zune pad buttons, and checked for updates on the Zune software. None of them work. When my zune is not connected, the low battery icon appears, and when it is, it says its charging, but doesn't.

Help please!!!

dead usb cable maybe? computer having problems? just go call microsoft/zune 877-get-zune.

I'm pretty sure my Zune cable is good, but ya never know.

this is the same problem I'm having. Nothing seems to work. I don't know if the zune usb cable itself is not working cause it shows it's charging the zune battery, but the zune software doesn't recognize it being connected.

I had this happen once, and a simple reinstallation fixed it.

If I uninstall then re-install it, would i have to resync all of my music/video?

i have a question, every time i try to connect my zune its just charges it doesent go to sync plz what do i do i just got it 10 days ago im verey scared of losing it at this piont in life(frown)

check to see if automatic sync is turned on.
or, try to drag and drop the artists/songs to the zune icon in the bottom left corner.

I still haven't solved my problem though =/
im callin them now, been on hold for 30 mins =[

well...
I called zune, i had to uninstall then reinstall the software like they said.
now my zune charges, but its still not detected by the software =/

yeah, I re-installed everything (using the online software, I lost my installation cd) and it still does not detect the software. I hope I don't have to get a brand new zune, I paid a lot for mine!

i had had the same problem over 3 days ago and uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it but if that doesnet work i have a question
How old is your Zune? If it is less than a year old, call 877-GET-ZUNE for a free replacement.

its juuust over a year old, got it in late march last year =/
soo, that would make it about 1 year 2 .5 months old.

I bought the 2 year replacement plan from best buy though (where I got it from)
So I might end up trading in my 30 and add some cash, to get the 80.
