zune help recovery? plz

i just had gotten a 30gb white zune from a friend. in about zune it says version 2.5 (1614) Bootloader 435. i had installed the zune software on my computer but when i plug it in it does not read the zune. when i tried restoring it, it says plug zune into computer and then update firmware or whatever. so when i plug it in it goes into the whole device recovery mode and installs zune firmware version 2.5 then says updating your zune device please do not disconnect this device this might take a minute. but on the zune it does the whole loading bar and what not then goes back to the regular menu music videos pics etc. and on the computer it still has not changed updating zune device no matter how long i leave it connected. i had tried restarting my computer and doing it over again but still nothing... any idea?

Try uninstalling with unzoone and reinstalling with the full package.

it has all the software and firmware but it just doesnt read it when i connect it to the computer..

i tried to downgrade and still couldnt get it to work. i had everything right but when i did the whole rest and connect thing it did the same thing also

Did you try erasing the firmware off of the Zune? It's Back Button + Left Button + Center Button. That might solve it. It will reload the firmware and re-synch your content, ideally, after that.

yeah thats what i have been doing then connecting it to my computer and and then it reloads the 2.5 firmware but it keeps saying it does it and the zune goes back to the regular screen and keeps saying itll take a minute but never stops

Hmm....have you used unZoone to uninstall it? There's a link in Gregory's post. That might help, if you use it as well as the full memory erase.
