Zune in bad shape...
I got my Zune for Christmas, loaded some music on it and enjoyed it for 3 months or so. Then, I accidentally dropped it. I realized it wasn't broken and felt good, until some songs would freeze. The ones that did, did it at different points for different lengths. Some would start back up, others would say something along the lines of 'file damaged or missing" and move me to a new one.
Then I downloaded the new software/firmware stuff. Now I connect my Zune to my computer and it takes 9 hours to get to 94%. Then it froze and I had to restart, so basically I can't add anything new. Also, it was filing all my working files under "not added" in the sync list. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED!!! I would like to erase my entire hard drive, but I'm afraid my previous problems were from it being damaged, and that after I wipe it it will not load ANYTHING at which point I will go from a half working Zune to a not working Zune. Does anyone have any suggestions? Will erasing everything preventing me from reloading anything? Are there ways around this except repair? AM I FLAT OUT SCREWED AND MY ZUNE IS FUBAR? P.S. I'd try the firmware clear, then if worst comes to worst just get a new one by calling 1877getzune.
