What I'd like to do since my music library is a few hundred gb is randomly load the zune with songs. Is there a way to accomplish this?
It's terribly time consuming to go through and select 30gb of songs by hand out of it, I'd rather just take my chances with it loading up randomly. |

if you go to settings and check "sync all" that might do it.
otherwise rollback to 1.0 i remember that had a function like that

Old version wouldn't handle the size of the library, it kept dying, even the new version is SLOW... I can't believe there isn't a randomize load possibly. Best I've come up with is random autoplaylist, but that doesn't let you set it by size, only by minutes or number of songs...

Why not just create an autoplaylist, set it to recently added and just randomly choose dates? Then you can set it to Arrange Songs 'Randomly'. You can set the song limits to 'no limit'.

Yeah I can do it, just much more work than it used to be, you used to just hit load and it would fill it up. I'm not picky about what I'm listening too, so I guess I just see it as a feature they took out. I thought maybe it was just hidden and someone would know where it was, but it appears it's just gone.

No I'm using the autoplaylist's now, but ideally they would let you set it to 30gb and just randomize it so it would be different each time. They however don't let you do it by total size, only by minutes or numbers of songs, which means you never use the whole player storage, cause you'll only guess so close.
