Default Frozen Zune

Lately I've had problems with my zune and they seem like they are getting worse. Half of the time I play a song or video and it only gets a few seconds into the song and it just freezes and a minute later it says "the zune can not play this item". But sometimes the songs work one time and when you play them again it doesn't work. I need help!

Try resetting your Zune. If you don't know the button combination, it is holding down the back and down buttons until you get a black screen. Once that happens, turn it back on by pressing the play button.

That's not how you reset your Zune. You reset it by pressing back and up. Back and Down will clear your Zune of all content (I think).

I use that combination to turn off my Zune for extended periods of time. It has never deleted media off of it.

Edit- I just realized that what you were saying is the equivalent of a reset on a computer. I already knew this, but I just want to say that what I suggested was the equivalent of turning a computer off and turning it back on.

I know. According to the article I posted you have to hold down the center button as well. Resetting your Zune is still back+up, though.

"To reboot your player - a useful thing to try while troubleshooting - press and hold the Back button, while pressing "up" on the Zune Pad"

Now that that has been cleared up, it is time to go back to the main subject.

If that has not worked, try deleting everything from your Zune, either by the above mentioned method or by going to the settings of your device in the Zune software and choosing to delete it all, and tell us how it turns out.

I don't think the battery has anything to do with the problem here buddy.

I do not use tigotago and I already said I wiped my zune.
