Default Water Damage

Hi. About 3 days ago, my Zune fell into a pool and it stopped working. I was advised to leave it alone and let it dry and wait. Well, it's been 3 days and it's still not working. I can't return it, refund it, or repair it. But, I just tried turning it on (by holding down the play button and connecting it), and the screen glowed. Nothing else turned on, though.

Is there anyway that I can fix this? Because I really can't afford to buy another MP3 player.

Alright, now it stays glowing, but as of right now, there's one green bar that covers 1/3 of the screen, a black bar that covers 1/3 of the screen, and another green bar that covers the remaining 1/3.

EDIT: Alright, now it just went all black. Before, my computer made clicking noises. It kept on going on and off like it was being detected and then undetected.

EDIT2: A small window at the bottom-right of my computer screen said that it could not connect the device because the plug or something was malfunctioned.

i dunno if this would work so long after the accident, but try putting the zune in a bowl of rice... the rice will soak up any water inside the zune (i know someone who has done this twice with his cell phone and it still works... hes pretty clumsy)

you should try bread too for moisture, i bet the HDD got screwed up because HDDs just collapse under pressure. 2 feet of water for more than 5 seconds and they are done. somehow iPods manage to work even after being through the wash however.

Put it into a tub of white rice for a week.
That will work.

I can't tell if you're kidding or not. I did however, put my Zune in some rice over night, but it's still broken. And now, there's some rice in it...
