trying to update zune firmware

a few weeks ago i updated my zune software to 2.5 but it never asked me to update the device. yesterday my zune froze so i restarted it, then it came up with a window that said "1 Connect Zune to your PC." after i connect it it says "2 On your PC open the Zune software and restore the Zune device firmware." my software opens and brings me to the device update window, telling me that i need the 2.5 firmware, but it won't let me click on next on the bottom of the window which is what you need to do to update it. the only button it lets me click on is cancel. if i do then the software doesn't recognize the zune at all and the only way i can get back to that window is to disconnect and reconnect the zune itself. i've tried restarting both the zune and my computer and there's no difference. help!

you should get unzoon and reinstall the main app on your computer then try and restore the zune device, thats what i would do. you can find unzoon in the forums here just search for it
