Pioneer FH-P800BT Wont Recognize Zune in USB connection

Just bought a Pioneer Premier FH-P800BT car head unit (mostly for the hands free BT phone, but it also came with a USB connection device, which the installer showed me worked fine with his I-pod). But when I connect my Zune, It won't recognize it, until I turn the Zune off, then it says USB Formatting and finally gives me an error message.(#19 I believe it is). I think it has to do with the file format being FAT32 or something, based on my meager attempts to trace the problem down. Is there a fix for this?
