This has been a problem since I got the new software. I have several MP3's that I can not edit the track info whether it be in the Zune software or in Windows.
Two instances: 1.) I have a typo in the artist field. In windows, the name appears correct, but in Zune it is spelled wrong. So I right click on the name and edit it. When I hit enter it changes back to the incorrect spelling. Moving the file, deleting it from the Zune, tried everything, nothing works. 2.) In windows, I change the name of a group (AC/DC shows up as just AC). I click "Apply" and then "Ok". Now If I go back and view it, the changes have not been made and it reverted back to the original "AC". Against tried moving it to a different PC, deleting it from the Zune, etc. nothing works. I have read the tutorials in this forum and nothing seems to work. My zune is Version 2.3 (1145) Bootloader 435 if that helps. |

get the free program MP3TAG. changing information in the Zune program does not change the TAG, and changing that is best being that the Zune reads the tag to know the details.

Yes, MP3tag is very good... The advanced tag editor in WMP is not bad, though...
In your specific case, if you haven't already fixed it check to see that both the artist and album artist tags are correct. You can fix one and not see the other and the problem persists... Last edited by NSILMike : 05-04-2008 at 10:04 AM. ![]() |
