I haven't tried this yet, but it has been floating in my head for some time now...
After doing the hard drive hack, and making the zune unlocked via the syncing method.... what if you shared the zune's drive 'folder' (the icon looks like a drive, and says what size drive is in the zune) by standard windows file sharing... both mac and linux support that. Could that work?
