[SOLVED] Computer doesnt detect zune device

I only recently started having this problem, well the usb device and usb port work perfectly, the zune charges, but the computer doesnt detect it anywhere. the device manager doesn't list it, and syncing wirelessy is out of the question as i havent set it up yet.

another thing (i dont know if this will be much help) is that as soon as i plug in the usb to my zune it gives me blaring signals over and over and as soon as i unplug it it stops. my brothers and friends i pods work perfectly but zune doesnt.

i've tried the sync diagnostic from microsoft support (i dont think that helped at all)

the usb ports are all up to date and the usb ports don't even detect the zune but charges is it anyway.

Try uninstalling with UnZoone, and reinstalling with the full package from Microsoft.

sorry but right now i dont think uninstalling and reinstalling would be a good idea on part, partly because it took reseting my entire computer (which was on accident) so that my computer would finally install the zune files. (had an issue installing the update rollup 2 for windows XP)

zune driver and entire computer is up to date, as its already been tried.

Uninstall the USB Ports then Reinstall them.

problem fixed, as soon as i got on the device manager it showed a yellow "!" next to zune under portable devices. uninstalled and reinstalled device and it works. thanks for help

I think reinstalling the software would be your only hope. You say you had to reinstall windows the last time you did that?
