Zune deleted songs and won't recognize them in Media Player
Yesterday I went to play one of the albums on my Zune and there was only 2songs left. Zune deleted the rest of the album. I looked at the other albums from this particular band and the other 2 albums: One was completely gone and the other album only had 4 songs left. So I went to re-sync them from media player and zune will only recognize the songs that were not deleted. Apparently the rest album doesn't exist as far as Zune is concerned. The entire albums are in my Windows Media Player but Zune tells me they are not. So how do I get these albums back on Zune? I hope this mood Zune gets into get fixed.
This is not the first time this has happened. Zune deciding to delete songs. But in the past I was able to just re-sync them.
ok, i'll tel you, do not let your zune software watch your folders, go to settings, remove all the folder that zune software is monitoring, and then, uncheck auto sync since if zune software detects that if you have any music missing from your computer or something like that, it will remove the files off your zune also.

So go remove the folders and just do manually? I will try this. It's ashame you just can't have it upload the songs from the folder as they are put in there. The ability is provided. Does Zune plan to fix that error? Or is it going to be a bug never fixed?
it's not a bug, its just an option letting them monitor it.. but once you added the files into the zune software, it won't be remove, the monitoring just knows if you move something or delete something.. they will follow it and delete it on your zune..

After reading runtohell121's reply, you state to not monitor any folders. what make lets the software know where the music is located, since it's not monitoring any? I may be confused... I just recently bought an 80G Zune. It took me about 4 weeks to edit nearly every song with mediamonkey, but it was well worth the wait. I'm trying to learn the software, but it gets a bit confusing. I myself am a software engineer for medical devices. Let me say, that a 5 year can learn how to run one of the software that I work on, and I cannot even figure out half the crap with the Zune software. But, I'm trying! This brings up a question that I just thought about...
*** I currently have one folder being monitored. This folder is on an external drive that contains all my music. I recently added new music to that folder, but the software didn't recognize it. Is there a setting I'm missing? To correct this, I deleted all music from my Zune collection (through the software) and had it 're-monitor' my music folder. When I connected my zune and it started to sync, I noticed that a few other soungs were added to the sync... but when i checked my zune... they were no were to be found. What do I do next?
So how do I add new music?
And where did my new songs go to after i resynced it?
no no, don't let it monitor the folders at all, once you disabled it, if you want to delete all the music in the zune software, erase all content on zune, resync everything again. when you want to add new music through zune software, just open the file location and drag and drop to the zune software, its very simple.

Did you check your Recycling Bin? Sometimes when you delete stuff from the Zune Software you accidentally delete it from your computer. You never know, it may be right under your nose.
