So I've been trying to organize all my music. Like going through and fixing all the spelling errors in the artists names and stuff like that. For instance, I have Aaron Copeland and Aaron Copland.
Without working
I tried with the Zune software to change that.
I downloaded an MP3tag editor.
I've downloaded a Zune Media reset program.
I've uninstalled the Zune software.
I've changed the settings so it will refresh all the media information and still
I still have 2 artists Aaron Copeland and Aaron Copland.
What really gets me is if I open the properties of the song through Zune it correctly lists the artist. I'm totally at a loss! And quite annoyed at Microsoft's wonderful programming skills. Does anyone one have any other ideas on how to make this work?
you should really try ZAlternator. It's a nice program that will let you sync your Zune through other programs like WMP, it's pretty nice, and it's free. Search the site for it, should be easy to find.

Yes kids, referral link spam abuse is a terrifying thing. Come here to learn how you can get help.
I used MP3tag to edit my data. What really gets me is that through poperties on the zune software, I see the properly displayed artist name. But it doesn't change in the Artist folder in zune.
Thats the problem with zune software. Use ZAlternator and you can use wmp, that should fix your problem.
So you don't really think there is a work around using the zune software? That is kind of a bummer, for some reason the new layout kind of appealed to me.
media monky is a free ware program that will find album art and you can alos easly edit you metadata with the program.
imo if the meta data is already correct, then a different editor won't do much good. I'll just have to download a different that patch to allow me to use wmp. I'm assuming it will work with XP and WMP 11 right?
yes, Then ended the program in the task manager. Another interesting thing, I had WMP 11 find my music, it apeared on WMP the exact same way. There has to be some user error somewhere. Because in WMP when I changed Chopeland to Chopland, then updated the media in the Zune software, it showed the changed Artist name. So I don't know if I was using the writing software incorrectly. Or if that metatag software doesn't do what it says, but now in my zune software I see the correct Artist spelling. So I guess I'll edit my meta files in WMP it seems to be easier to edit there anyway.
