Some questions about Zune!?!?1

Hi guys,
I'm going to buy a Zune in this month but I'm reading about the zune, mainly about use Zune as External Hard Drive, using Drag and Drop to put mp3 into Zune.
But I've read this is impossible.
Every transfer have done using Zune's Software, unfortunatelly I've use the software to transfer every king of files.

I had the iRiver Mp3 Player(ihp-120) and I love him, I plugged iriver in my pc and I transferred without program, only with Drag and Drop, very easy. But this way I can't transfer to Zune, always transfer I need to use software.

Therefore, I don't like iPods because always transfer I need to use iTunes that I have this program.

But the way that I saw, the Zune is the same iPods in about transfer.

I hope the next firmware have the Drag and Drop option and I can use the Zune as External Hard Drive, like a Pendrive.

The Zune can be used as an external HDD, through the use of hacks.

Ok, then Drag and Drop is impossible to use. And the Drag and Drop in the next firmware is difficult.

Finally, to use Zune as External Hard Drive only doing this modification and apply Patchs.
In this point Zune lose of iPod because It's can use as Exnternal Drive without patchs and modifications, right?
Because to use Zune as Pendrive(external hd) only applying patchs in every PCs where Zune will plug.

What do you think about this?

Well, I believe Microsoft will open the Zune up more in the future. Letting you do exactly as you want. Why don't you just get an external hard drive. 250gig hard drive is much cheaper then a 27gig Mp3 player.
