I'll admit, I forgot. Sorry.
Can you PM me with that post with the details, just so I know where it is?

I also cannot have my Zune Software detect my Zune device^
I don't know why it is such and I am just driven nuts now^

If the Computer can't detect your Zune there are a couple of things you could try.

1.) Uninstall your USB Ports, then go ahead and reinstall them.

2.) Uninstall the Zune Software completely then properly reinstall it and try that.

3.) I myself have even gone as far as reinstalling XP/Vista (I wouldn't recommend this unless your certain it could work).

4.) Finally you could always call Zune Support. However try these other two solutions (minus the OS Reinstall) and let Zune Support know. That way it streamlines the Support and makes it easier to yourself and the Zune Team to assist in the matter.

i think he means the USB drivers, so try that

don't mess around without knowing what you're doing

i have got a new motherboard(i went from an intel to amd as well)
the only thing that hasnt changed is the OS. (XP SP2 UK Edition)

Which means that i think that microsoft have at some point in one of their patches put some sort of blocking mechanism into the os.

The zune also shows this decision.

When not plugged in it says "Connect zune to PC"
When i plug it in, it breifly changes to the next screen "open zune software"
As though it has a connection to the pc.
then it changes back to "conenct zune to pc"
As though the PC has rejected the zunes offer to connect (the only logical explanations is some sort of blocking mechanism(rootkit embeded my MS?))
It then keeps on flashing between the screens (as shown in the video o uploaded in a previous post.)

I hate MS! (Also installg the new mb i kept on getting bsod's. it took me 2 days to find a website which had archived an old solution to the problem which had once been on the kb. bu then MS removed it for some reason!)

PS:
just to prove this theory, i have plugged it into a friends pc (vista (UK Edition!)) and got exactly the same.
plug in -> connection opened -> change text on screen -> windows reject -> go back to connection opened
This other computer has never had a zune before the only similaritiy is that he also lives in the uk.
