power not turning off

I am not sure if this is how the device should work or not. It doesn't seem right to me.

The Play/Pause button is supposed to be to turn on.off the device. The manual saysto hold it for 3 sec. If i do that the screen turns off, but if I press any button on the device or insert/remove the headphones it turns back on.

No matter howlong I hold the play/pause button down this is what happens.

Also has anyone found a way just to stop the currently playing song or playlist. All I can seemto do is pause it.

It goes in to sleep more more than powering down. Don't worry, that is what it is supposed to do.

Yea, it goes into sleep mode... but still uses some battery. This past weekend, i didnt touch my zune after going into sleep mode. When i turned it on that monday, it had left sleep mode and the Zune title screen and loading bar turned on. Apperently, if you leave it in sleep mode for a certain amount of time (a day? a few hours? i don't know.) it actually turns off. I would much rather have a full "off" button feature along side the sleep mode. I don't like using ANY battery if i shut it off for the night or something.

If you want to fully shut your zune off, press the Back Button, and DOWN.
