zune will not power down, not tethered

My new zune will not power down, nor will any of the 'reset' functions work (stop/pause for 3 sec, back-left + down, back + down, back+up)

I have ver 1.0 hardware, but will not be able to load software and synch until I upgrade one of my machines (using SP1 on one and W2K on another)

Do you think that a firmware upgrade will fix this or could it be bad hardware. . .

I don't thin k anyone here can help you due to the fact that everone upgrades the firmware rght away.

Hmmm, obvious question....make sure that the Zune's LOCK is not set to LOCK.

I forgot I LOCKED mine and was in a panic when I couldn't turn it on, or play it, or reset it!

Just trying to cover the bases here.
