Default stuck on logo screen

so i recently bought a replacement main board for my first gen zune 30, i had previously had problems with getting everything all hooked up and it would just stay at a screen of the zune logo for a few minutes then jump to an error screen. Yesterday my new mainboard came in and surely enough it didn't fix anything, it just stays at the same screen and doesnt attempt to load up or anything. Should i just buy a hardrive then? or is this a firmware issue?

It might be your hard drive failure instead of the motherboard.

It's possible it's a firmware issue. Have you tired clearing the firmware?

Wait until it reaches an error screen, then try it.

If it does work, it will change to a screen that says Please wait, and a large 3.
Um... You could get a new hard drive... Zune support probably won't take it anymore.
