Ipods aren't very precise anyway... I try and fast forward and it delays, then skips... Doesn't seem precise to meh. But yeah, you can always try swiping like Gregory said.
The sweeping from left to right within a podcast fast-forwards about a quarter of the total length in one go. It's really annoying because somethimes you just want to go back or forward a minute or less...(which I can do on my iPod).
The only way you can really fastforward precisely or in this case forward is to hold the zune pad down. Either the left or right button down. And timing it just right to when you want to stop forwarding or rewinding when it comes to songs and vids.

No Problem, just doing what I can to help out. Reminds me of the time this guy went through all this stuff, hard reseting, draining his battery, etc... and all he had to do was restart his zune. But yeah your welcome!
