I can easily see the value of Zunes being able to communicate wirelessly with eather other, but I would appreciate an explanation of what is so great about the fact that I can sync my Zune to my PC?
Thanks for your input!

Well, that was one feature that prompted me to get a Zune for my sister for Christmas. She is not all that technical and when faced with something labor intensive on the PC, she will tend to take a pass. Since I actually want her to use the Zune, I also picked up a home dock with her in mind. She lives in Chicago and has recently given up her car and the $200/mo. parking spot in favor of public transportation (she lives downtown). This is what I envisioned as her daily Zune routine...
Come home from work and plug the Zune into the home dock. Use it as a CD player or to listen to whatever audio podcasts she hasn't finished. She will go to bed and it will charge overnight.
In the morning, she fires up her PC (if she shut it down) and waits a minute for it to boot into Windows while she starts getting ready. At some point, she grabs the wireless remote for the home dock and selects "Sync Now". She can then keep getting ready for work while the Zune automatically launches the software, downloads the new Podcasts, and syncs them. Last thing before hitting the door she grabs it out of the dock and is good to go for the day.
If she leaves the PC on all the time as many of us do, without ever removing it from the dock she can simply turn on the wireless before bed and it should already be synced in the morning.
Heh...at least, that is the plan.
I have also seen others post that they sync while the Zune is in their car. Apparently, the Zune will still draw a charge even if the engine isn't running. If the wireless is on, it should connect about a minute after you pull into range of your router and will begin syncing automatically.
It will also be useful if you have run out of USB ports and don't have a hub.
Yeah, it is kind of a gimmick but it seems like a real quality of life feature.
