Well now that the Zune has some good hardware, GameKnight might be able to actually run well on the ZuneHD. For those of you who don't know, GameKnight is a game boy emulator for the zune. GameKnight - Home Could someone work on porting this to the HD? If I knew C# I totally would, but I unfortunately don't.
from my understanding it will run very slow because c# is slow compared to native code (am i right netrix?) or maybe tegra might balance out things...ohh yea xna doesnt provide to needed "tools" to take full advantage of tegra..

Yes, you are right. C# on any Zune is way too slow for any emulator. The only thing that would work would be to have emulators written with native code.

Netrix, are you sure, i have screwed around with gameknight on the Zune 120, i got it to run decently (decently as in 7 fps) and got controls working. With the Up'd hardware it should be able to run at least 15 fps, which is not the best in the world, but its realistic enough to create a poor quality animation.
BTW to everyone interested in download pirated content, from my understanding, its Total legal, so if an emulator was created games could be pirated towards it, just be warned i take no responsibility for your actions.
So, why would it be legal, from what i've heard its at the uploaders expense, and not the downloaders (so don't upload, its the uploaders fault and not the downloaders)

The Zune HD is not twice as fast. It will likely never run faster than 10 FPS using XNA.
Emulators are completely legal, since they do not contain any copyrighted content. They could be used to play public domain games.
It depends on where you are, but if you are talking about the U.S., it is probably a misconception that it is legal to download copyrighted content without paying for it. In Canada, it is legal to download any music without paying for it, but that does not extend to software.
