An accelerometer makes the ipod touch and iphone, why cant we make one to clip to the zune and plug into the proprietary? it cant be that hard. it will take some time but will open up many possibilities.

Actually, I find the accelerometer in my iPod Touch annoying and useless most of the time. However, as to what you are suggesting: Simple answer - never going to happen.
Advanced answer - There are too many reasons to type out. I need to go to work. So I'll just say we don't have root access to the Zune hardware, so we can't be making any changes like that.
We don't have the access we need to talk to the Zune through anything but the tools MS gave us, namely XNA. XNA gives us nothing of the sort to allow us to talk through the sync port, nor through wireless to anything but another Zune. It's just not gonna happen, wait until MS decides to put it in themselves. Solved and locked.
