ZuneEmpire

Description of proposed game play:
ZuneEmpire would be a conquest game like
Age of Empires or Command or Conquer

The Main Objective is to destroy or capture all towns.

Basic Ideas:
You Will Use The TouchPad/Dpad to move a cursor which could be used to select farms,soldiers,or towns. you can also use to make soldiers attack other towns. when you select an enamy town, two options will pop up, Destroy, Or Capture

You will start out with the first upgrade of each catagory
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You have one main town which you can upgrade when you get enough conquest points.

Upgrades:
1.Hamlet
2.Village
3.Town
4.City

You have one main farm which you can upgrade when you get enough conquest points.

Upgrades:
1. 1/2 acre farm
2. 1 acre farm
3. 2 acre farm
4. 10 acre farm



In order to conquer more towns you must spend conquest points on warriors.

Upgrades:
1.Militia
2.Warriors
3.Raiders
4.Army

Conquest points would be earned by farming or conquering other villages.

Middle or Play/Pause Button - Select/Attack

Back Button - Upgrade Selected Farm/Village/Militia

Tips/suggestions for developers accepting this request:

It Would Be a fun game and i am willing to help with backgrounds/sprites.

You could also make it different thats just what i was thinking

An RTS for the zune? That actually sounds like it could work. I'm swamping myself with too many projects, else I'd take this one on.

Alright, I've decided to drop everything and work on this. If I can get a team to make sprites/maps etc... I think I can pull it off fairly easily.

its up to you, your designing it, if you want me to right up detailed game of what i think it should be let me know, otherwise you can do w/e you want with it as long as its fun =)

A suggestion if I may, wouldn't it be more prudent to create your maps in a .txt file and then draw it in game with bitmaps created in Photoshop?

A tile based engine is really nice, which I think is what you're suggesting. However the camera system I use to scroll background maps while keeping track of where the sprites should be drawn based on camera position doesn't play well with tiles. Plus I don't think the efficiency trade off would be worth it, just my opinion.

No, it will be a real time strategy. Like age of empires or Command & conquer. I'm shooting more for age of empires.

Yeah maps would be great. I epic fail at creativity so If you could work out maps that look like they could actually be used strategically, that would be great.
