i imagine you are reffering to animated gifs? there is a difference.

Although Locke is right, you would need to add a codec to the zune, i imagine something similar is possible. Like, you have software on your computer that extracts each frame. You put them into individual folders in the game file, and then have a little info file that specifies how many frames there are, how long each plays, etc..

nice idea though. would be cool to put small gif animations on the zune

Easy solution.
Record the gif. using hypercam, snagit or any other program that will record onscreen action.
Sync to your zune
Enjoy the hilarity.
