There is already a game like your idea, called Gold Chase.
gold chase is a 3rd person running through halls just collecting gold game. it's also made by a game engine that i have yet to meet anyone that knows how to use... my associates and i are creating a new way of making fp/3d type games. i really don't know what else to say to you cuz what you said is like saying well there's already halo 3 out for 360 so why make another fps ever again...

I just meant that you could look off of that to help you with what you are trying to do.
What is raycasting, and what are you trying to do? Also, why don't you just ask the guy who made the game?
raycasting is a engine that was used for games like doom that were made back when computers weren't good enough for 3d games. it uses a technique is kinda hard to explain. if you want to know what i'm doing look back to old posts i explain it in detail. and i don't know who made gold chase and if i did i doubt he would take the time to explain how to use it to someone that barely knows how to program. it's not like a simple do this and then this and then you're done. go to google and search raycasting if you want to know more about it.
