Game Name: A zune Periodic Table

alright now this may sound nerdy but if someone could make a periodic table, specially for us taking chemistry, that would be awesome! now i would try this myself but i have no experience with C# or any related language so i must rely on u guys :P.

anyhow i was thinkin the app could work like this. side view of simple periodic table, use the zune pad to move a cusror/highlight the boxes on the table. when you click (center button) a menu pops up to view the element and usefull data ( electonegativity, electron config, MP, BP... ect) you press the back button to return to the table. maybe use the play/pause button to open up menu that desplays the general stuff like quit music and so forth.

though i can code i would like to help, i can get all the info required for each element, and i can try to photoshop some graphics. though i would have to say all the info could come from en.wikipedia.com

Suggestions for the Development Team:

for the menu's of each element, if the creator of zune blade is okay with it, we could repace the arrow/black circle graphic in the center with the element name and use his menu to display the data.

decent graphing calculators can get quite pricey....

and we are not allowed to use graphing calculators in our science department.

touche touche... and i dont really know... they arnt really strick on ipods... i dunno how school is set up in the US but in Ontario or in my school at least its more of the teachers preference and my previous teacher did not allow the use of graphing calcs. and not to mention a zune 4 is easier to hide than a calc

so are any brave programmers willing to take this on? like i said i know nothing about programming but i am willing to help any way i can... and if anyone is willing to help "teach" almost liek an aprenticeship over MSN or Groove or w/e messaging service lol that would be amazing :P

Sounds liek you could just upload images of each periodic element. easier than making an app for it. and what use would this have outside of school.

Exactly what I was thinking. Why not just upload a picture(s) of the periodic table and just look at that. Thats basically all the app would do is show you an image.

ehh w/e then i would prefer a app but if you guy dont ehh its up to you nehow the apps/games comming out look pretty slick keep up the good work

I just dont see it worth the effort to make an app for what, picture viewing.

well it would be a little more than picture viewing but i see your point. i jsut think it would be cramped to put all the info onto a picture. but i can see that it would be more agrivating to make a whole app.. so i think i'll try and photoshop a few pics. if i did this could i post it under apps? even though it aint really a C# app i am not sure where to post it??

just catagorize your pics and whatever you need into a separate folder and sync them to your zune and they will be in a separate folder on your Zune as well.
