Game Name:
Music Lyrics Describe the Gameplay: I'm thinking if it's possible to use the "Book Reader" and make something from that. So then maybe we can have lyric while we have our music playing. The Album Art will be at the top of the screen like the "Zune Clock" 1.5... then the Below that the name of the song. Then a line to divide the info and lyrics. Then the bottom 1/3 of the screen will be lyrics. Controls: Play/Pause = Menu, with song, lyric, backbround, and album selection. Along with the time. Up/Down = Scroll up and down the lyric (since obviously 1/3 of screen couldn't be all the lyric of the song) Back = Go to the previous screen Hold Back = Exit Game Play Useful Links: What i had in mind is preety much the combination of these two programs: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/app...ate-1-1-a.html http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/app...ew-thread.html Tips/Suggestions for the Development Team: Sorry, but None... I know nothing of programming. ![]()

This sorta thing has been requested, a lot of people want it, but a lot of people(including myself) think it's a bit pointless. Why do you need lyrics on an mp3 player? It's not a karaoke machine..

I suppose if you have the lyrics in text files with the name format of: "<artist><album><song>.txt", it's possible.

I've considered doing this, by scanning the Zune collection, extracting the lyric tag from the ID3, then putting it in an XML file for the lyric app to read. The biggest drawback is you would have to rebuild the XML file and redeploy the app every time you added more music.
I have a current project anyway and I'm taking a wait and see approach to see if a future release of XNA will give us access to read any ID3 field from the media collection. If so, then this would be a piece of cake.

I honestly have tp agree with Soccerfreak. if you dont know the lyrics then listen and you will get them eventually. but an MP3 player that plays lyrics is k9nda pointless. just listen to the music thats what its all about.
