You know I find it very odd that nobody has posted anything (as far as I can see) on a simple standard awesome Pinball game, with some nice gravity features on the ball... this would make my day.

It would be awesome to be able to use the back and play buttons for bumpers but back would make it exit... i would love pinball too...MAYBE the gravity app/game thing could be used in the making of this...no?

It'd be cool, but I believe there would be alot of collission detection stuff that might get complicated, which is possibly why noone has started working on it. To be fair, this type of game would be perfect for the Zune. Since the screen is wide, when you view it normally it's long like a pinball machine, add to that, Play and Back could be the flippers. the center button could open a menu, and from there you could exit the game.

I knew it, there's not that much collision detection to be honest... far less than in pacman mind you. And I still am surprised that in 10+ pages of people suggesting games nobody seemingly posted pinball. Well I posted it, so lets see if anyone gets interested in making it... if not, and I eventually get Un-busy, I suppose I could do it myself, but don't hold your breath.

Only problem with using Back as a flipper is that if you hold the back button, it does a force restart. There is no way around this. So your users would likely get very angry after a few times of it shutting down for "no reason".

I'd just use left and right buttons on the D-Pad for flippers. play/pause to open menu, middle button to tilt! And we need multiple tables, i have this awesome 3D pinball game from egames.

I thought of this awhile back, but I'm not crazy about pinball, so I don't see why I'd make a game I probably wouldn't play.

I'll bet (or at least I hope) that this will be a game released by Microsoft when the game function is smoothed out.
That would be cool though, having tables themed after games and such (halo pinball?!?!! )

I dont know how I feel about nearly breaking the squircle pad every time I play this game. Think about how much stress is applied on the pad to constantly hold the left and right buttons back and forth as flippers. ( to those 2nd gen owners, try it, and you can feel how awkward it is)
I'd say stick with back and play buttons and risk reset.

or how about left on d pad /press on left of squircle for left trigger, and play (b) button for right trigger? whoa, someone did post this before... I went through all 11+ pages of requests checking before posting... maybe it was system lag or something but I totally missed it. Sorry.

why is every one trying to complicate this. it's pinball for zune. left and right should be the left and right flippers down for both and the play/pause for bump. yeah i know how we used to hold one flipper up and smack the other but like i said it's for the zune and if anyone makes one no one will complain and if they do learn C# and xna and do it yourself.
