Would you have to input the lyrics for every song you wanted?

Do you mean a program that would read the lyric part of the ID3 tag on the metadata of the song?

I mean, like an application, that would let you choose your song, and when you play it, the lirics will show up.

hmmmmm, like a little karaoke machine!

ok... why did you make a whole new thread? and that be hard as every song would have to be programmed individually. Not everyone has the same songs. It would be possible to make it so that the entire song lyrics are shown by reading the tag, but not possible to make it so that the part that's being sung is the only part that shows up.

well, at least they could make the lyrics move up, like the credits in movies, and you could make them faster or slower with up and down.

I have the idea of how it can look like... but i dont know C#

Do you know even a lil flash? Or even Photoshop? Try to show us what you mean with those. Or paint if you don't have photoshop.

I see what you mean and I like it.
Except, let and right control song speed/song selection. Up and down control volume. I think we could hit the center button which brings up the menu. Then an option of "Lyrics" will be selected and we can control the lyrics with up and down instead of the volume.
Just my idea. Yes, I know that apps only work with themselves and not the actual Zune. But knowing zB we will find a way.

Thats pretty Cool. Like a teleprompter so you could sing a long with your song. However, my singing is terrible, and I dont have the lyrics encoded in my music. But this would be a cool aplication.

This would be kind of cool to mess around with, but I bet that almost nobody has the lyrics encoded in their music.

heres what would suggest doing a program like this.

open paint, paste lyrics, make the picture LONG height wise. then save it. make a program that automatically shows the picture zoomed, scrolling down at a set speed.
this way, people can make their own lyric pictures, thereby eliminating the need to program every song in the world.
people can also be artistic with this way. add a few loved ones, pictures related to the song, w/e.
this idea gets better and better.
pictures can be read from the pictures folder using 'games', so people can just put pictures in using the zune software, easy.

There's no need of putting lyrics in ALL the songs in the world.
We could just put the lyrics in the songs ourselves!
I bet there are programs to put lyrics in songs... right?

theres the problem though.
would a zune application have the rights to view that much data from music files?
exactly the reason i suggested the simple picture viewing app, you play the song, and it finds the corresponding picture. probably by matching file names, and automatically scrolls the picture via preset timers chosen at song selection.

Leaving the person making the lyric pictures room to be artistic, a few pictures, notes, background color, font color, font style, you get the picture.

Then we are going to have to make a picture every time?
thats too much work...
im sticking with my idea...
lyrics are better, than pics...

probably in your /pictures/ folder on the zune.
zune applications can read from your music, and your pictures. name the picture the same title as the song, and it would just come down to matching the title.

do what you want, im just thinking about ease of development, use, and whats possible.
this is all just speculation, i know there are limits to what can be done, but im not sure what all of those limits are.

P.S. copying lyrics from a website, opening mspaint and pressing PASTE is too much work? k. ill think of something easier. oh, i know theres a program that can turn text files into pictures, but it probably wouldnt be right for this situation.
