no.
Flash Games != XNA Games However, most Flash Games would be incredibly easy to replicate in XNA.

flash games doesn't equal xna games is what he is saying. They are written in two completely different languages, making it impossible to just save it and download it to your zune. You would have to completely remake the game in order to do this

that really sucks but most flash games dont take that long to make anyways, so someone could just recreate them, yes?

Not near as easy as it sounds.

It is, in theory, possible to play flash games on a zune. (again, in theory)
We would need an INCREDIBLY light flash player (we could use Gnash, but it would need to be rewritten in C# and heavily stripped down). There is then the issue of sound. The Audio API's in XNA do not allow for writing to sound buffers, so unless we found a way to strip the audio from the flash file, we could possibly listen to our own music instead. Else, there isn't much of another way that I can think of. ![]()

You'd have to completely rewrite the games, since Flash (Adobe licensed) is very different from XNA (Microsoft licensed). It would be very difficult to reprogram the controls of a flash game that used the mouse as input (no matter what you'd still have to completely rewrite it though).

I've been writing a tool to read SWF data for my PC/360 XNA games now so let me see if I can shed light on this.
First, I'm not planning on building a Flash player for any platform. The reason the Adobe one works well is that it has hundreds of man-years worth of work in it. It started with Shockwave years ago, then Macromedia, and now Adobe. No player will ever (likely) catch up with them in performance. My personal use of SWF is simply to use Flash to animate my sprites and then read that data from SWF at build time to generate my content. Now, as to whether or not you could make a Flash player on the Zune my answer is maybe. Reading SWF files is incredibly easy. Took me maybe two days to have a program that would tell me what all of the data in the file was for. The hard part is doing something with that data. For instance any audio stuff would have to be converted to XNA's audio APIs for it to work which creates quite a challenge. Next Flash renders using vector graphics which XNA is not built to handle so you'd have to find a way to render these quickly on the Zune which would likely be hard. Also Flash accepts input from keyboard and mouse but not a Zune (obviously), so now you have to figure out how to take mouse/keyboard actions and map them to the Zune. And lastly you have to implement an entire Actionscript virtual machine which is really hard to do and then even harder to do efficiently. Ultimately I'd say it's more worth it just to re-write the games using XNA for the Zune rather than make a Flash player because odds are you will spend weeks or months trying to write one and it will never be performant. Taking a game idea and implementing it with C# and XNA is going to wind up with a much better experience because it will be faster and will be able to utilize the Zune hardware better.
