S is the STAB modifier (.5 if it's not very effective, 1.5 if the move's type matches one of the user's and is otherwise 1) T is the type effectiveness modifier (40,20,10,5,2.5 or 0; note though that this is afterwards divided by 10) and R is a random number between 217 and 255. the min is the value that it can be at the lowest. and the max is a defense of 1 to D. And if a pokemon uses an attack such as self destruct it's defense is automatically raised to 1.
SO DOES THIS LOOK LIKE ****ING WORK TO YOU GUYS?

This game sounds awesome. Would it be like the game for the Gameboy, with the entire adventure aspect, like beating the bosses and going from town to town?

Of course.... I mean how else could it be pokemon? I mean come on why else even make it... when I finally release the prerelease alpha it'll basically be a demo that will allow you to go through the beginning scene... and the whole setting up your character... and then it'd allow you to do everything up until you have that battle in the grass... I hope that this is ok w/ everyone... but as of now... I'm still trying to get a good grasp on how to make the engine work... such as how to proberly tile map the levels... and how it's going to be held and such... wait I know... I need to add a poll... could some one do that for me....
the title should be which way to play.
and the options should be
1) Hold sideways and play like how you play a movie
2) Hold straight up and down like most games on the zune thus far and also like how you listen to music.

Yeah if someone could do that that'd be nice... and I'd also like the input from everyone.

I think sideways would be better for pokemon, because when you battle it takes alot of room on the screen. That wouldnt fit right if it was straight up

I had every version of Pokemon available on Gameboy Color on my 5th generation iPod (Crystal, Gold, Silver, Yellow, Blue, and Red). I used the GBC emulator iBoy.

For zunes, it would be cooler if we could make a GBC emulator, although it would be very difficult but totally awesome.

Well prerelease alpha? Well that's going to be as soon as I can learn how to make the charecters move and such... right now... I'm shooting for about 1 week... but who knows? Not I? For exams and **** are this weekend so there's no way that that's going to happen.
