Hay guys just a few things to remember when you make a request for a game.
1. The can ONLY use the d-pad and 2 buttons (we do have 3 buttons but one needs to be menu/options if you want to be able to listen to your own music etc) 2. they can only be 2D atm, its gonna take alot of time to emulate 3D. 3. games that you have played that use a mouse pointer generally dont go so well to a d-pad 4. Please dont try to suggest anything that is licensed, most of the time you will be disappointed as you wont get the same feel of the game you requested as we dont generally know how things were programmed. If you have an original concept that you will think could work let us know but bear in mind that the more complex things take more time to do, most of the games popping up atm are just the demo's released with XNA 3.0 modified ever so slightly hense there are alot of space games or games with things coming from the top of the screen. if you bear all this in mind there is a chance that one of the programmers from ZB will attempt your suggestion. saying that i think we only have about 4 ppl who either understand games programming or know XNA well enough to do the games

The thing to remember is that you can utilize the back button however you want... to an extent. No matter what you do if you hold the back button it will force quit any game running. So you could use back as a jump button, but if you try to use it as, say, the gas pedal in a racing game, you'll find that the game will be force quit after a few seconds of holding the button.
There is also the pad as a thumbstick you can use for generation two devices. In addition there is actually a way to simply tell if you are touching the pad as well so a game could perform one action for touching the pad and another for clicking it.

These are just a few things you should consider before making a request.
Generally, if you're going to request a game, it's going to be a game already in existence. Chances are, that game is copyrighted, or protected in some way. The problem with this is that it could cause problems if Nintendo were to see a Mario game running on the Zune, without permission and without providing any benefits for the rightful owner of the Mario Bros. franchise. Mario is just an example, but just about any game you find will be protected. The other thing is that you should realize that just because it seems simple, doesn't mean it can run smoothly (if at all) on the relatively weak tech specs that Zunes possess. For example, though a game like Geometry Wars may seem like a no-brainer on the Zune when compared to a game like Halo 3, but it is a rather resource-needy game. Look to games like Pong before you look to games like Geometry Wars, as it is simple, fun, and not resource-needy. Consider controls... Just because the Mario platformers aren't very resource-needy, doesn't mean it would work well using the Zunes 4-way directional pad, or even the Zune Pad. Movement might work, but it would be hard to map out other controls. Just remember to look for fun, simple games that aren't graphically intense or that have several things going on at once. This is just my PSA to the ZuneBoards community. Hope this helps.

AFAICT gameplay can't be copyrighted, only the code and assets that make up the original game. As long as you use a different name from the original game and don't use any of the original content, you should be in the clear.

No, Its quite easy, there is this thing that is called a "search engine"(its a bit bellow the box that says "Welcome (username)") and you can use it to look for things that have already been suggested, never thought that could be possible huh?
