Default Weirdest error message ever.
Ok so i used the guest hack and all is well it lets me do what it should.... then i go to update the firmware...


I have no idea what that error message is for... if you cant read it, the error reads "1)TypeError: 'strIDS_OOBE_STATUS_NO_UPDATES_FOUND' is undefined [Hint] OnDeviceConnect"

if anyone would help me out here.... id be eternally in their debt.

P.S. i just went to my friends house and downloaded the Firmware 1.4. so the problem must be my pc/zune software.

i had to uninstall the quest hack, not a big deal tho, I just re-hacked it afterwards, dont remember getting an error message tho, just a blank black screen

Replace the ZuneLoc.dll with the backup you were supposed to make. If not, look around, I remember someone posted a backup.

doesn't the final hack make a backup automatically?

my zune is now doing this. i have no clue where the backup is can somebody help me out.

or if there is a backup currently avaliable for download could you point me in its direction.

when you installed the hack... a backup was created. if you look in the directory. where the hack was installed you should find one with backup in the name... remove the backup from the name and delete the other one.

as for a backup for download.. i dunno im sorry.

ok well there is a file in programfiles/zune called zunelocbackup.dll but when i remove the original zuneloc.dll and try to start the program it says that there is missing some critical file to start the program.

im at a loss for what to do now

Well, after you DELETE zuneloc.dll rename zunelock backup.dll to zuneloc.dll. Obviously.
