My sister got a zune hd, from her 120gb zune. The 120 had a crack in the screen and she got some weird ugly thing on it that I hate. Well anyways I destroyed that pretty much and got the hdd out of it. I was wondering if I could put that hard drive in my 30? When you look at them though the hdds do look like they are different sizes. So do you think I should do it or not?
Are the connectors the same?
I'm pretty sure that the connectors for the 80gb and 120gb drives are the same but i don't know about the 30 and 120.. If they are and you think you can secure it in a 30gb casing that's great. If you need help go here:
got the 120 in there, same connectors and hdd size and everything. The only prob is that it just goes to the startup screen then nothing. The line doesnt appear or anything. Is there a possibility I put it in there wrong or something?
Use the one to restart it, then while its restarting, during the zune logo + loading bar you do the one to do a complete wipe (firmware + files) and then plug it in to reinstall the firmware when it tells you to.
Its not working still. The zune says its deleting everything then the same error
you think the hard drive is dead or what?
I tried to put the original hdd back in but now I get a 5 contact support error. I contacted support and I guess Its a big paper weight now. How much do you think for it on ebay? Its is PERFECT condition becideds the hard drive and I even have a nice leather case for it that was about $30.
