please refer to this tutorial on it:
http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/old...add-files.html
there is no guarantee that your auto-change-regedit-values.exe (or whatever file you downloaded) did it correctly, but let's just imagine for a second that it
did work... skip those steps in the tutorial and see the bottom part of it. and actually, this tutorial doesn't even tell you whether or not you need to leave your Zune plugged in or not and/or have the Zune software running or not when modifying the registry values....
this tutorial on ZuneScene tells you to make sure both are unplugged/off.
if this doesn't help you then I am sorry.

now the reason to there being TWO devices showing up could be this (and this is a huge assumption): Going to the appropriate SYSTEM directory in the regedit shows 2 "ControlSet" folders (mine has ControlSet001 and ControlSet003) and the entries we are supposed to modify in their "Device Parameters" directories are IDENTICAL IN BOTH!!!!! So your downloaded program might have changed both??
I dunno which one is the correct one even though the
tutorial I mentioned earlier from ZuneScene says to use ControlSet001 EXCEPT: "If you have the Nov 13 2007 or newer firmware use ControlSet002 instead of ControlSet001." Now
that COMPLETELY throws me off because 1)I
do have updated firmware but 2)There is
no such ControlSet002 where it says it should be (I have 003, so is
that the right one?)!! Another thing that throws me off is this: both ControlSet directories have a subdirectory in their "Device Parameters" folder named "Zune Driver" AND an "Icon" entry that references the same location of the .ico file (and guess what??!! the .ico file looks like a Zune Device!!! [who woulda thunk it??!!])
so I dunno... someone else should take this one...
EDIT: arg... I found this post a second ago...
http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/gam...120gb-hdd.html it should answer why it doesn't work, specifically post #2
