mod is great

i have the same problem where the sync starts and then error pops up, but i have been able to get 2 video files to sync on my zune that cannot be played on the zune player for some reason. I havexp media center on a lappie so intergrated everything have the divx codec and the direct show codec pack and i tried the registry fix where you have to change mediaplayer to zune i opened up the reg in notepad and it said it couldnt find mediaplayer

gonna do some more research and report back

Default REgistry hack isn't working
Win XP
Windows media player 11
Latest firmware and Zune version 2 software

Is there something else that will let me convert/play my wav and avi files.
Seems pretty lame that Micrsoft would update this software to lock out this registry hack and limit the formats you can play on this device.

Is there any other free software that will convert these files so I can play on my zune?

This is really annoing here:

On one of the pages from this thread a mod wrote that "This DOES NOT work with the new software".
1st
This not a big help of WHAT is this "This" and what is the "new" software.
A zune 80 owners has no idea of "old" software. Nowadays we have a 2.3 updated firmware, maybe it has to do with it ??? (-> confusion)
AND: This small message is difficult to find, when there are 12+ pages in this thread

2nd
This thread is still in the group of "Hacks & Mods" and not in "Old Hacks" (which would be a BIG help to understand whats going on)

The same with many other threads in this forum !!!
Mabye a mod could put into the Main titles of every "old" thread a hint like:
XXXXXXXXXX (NOT FOR ZUNE VER. 2.X)

Sorry, but I'm writing this here in a mood after spending a lot of time trying to make this hack work with Zune Ver 2 :-(

Did M$ fix this in the latest update?? I can't get this or the harddrive mod to work for my zune... when I try to drag .avi files into zune software, I just get the (/) sign telling me I can't copy the files into the program.

Nearly all of the hacks that are completed are just meant for the original zune software, because the Hacks & Mods crew hasn't had enough time to hack and or mod the new software. So knowing that, it would only seem logical that they don't work on the new software... and read the above comments... they say the same thing.

i got it just like it said put both of them in there and nothing really interested in this if i can get it working...doesn't even detect the files in the zune place can't select add ass folder or anything

the instruction says to extract the contents and says theres two of them

can someone tell me the step by step intruction to how to instal and make it work because i dont hink im doing it right or something .
so this is what i did.
i downloaded the file then extracted it . then i clicked run and it asked if i wanted to added this to the restitry and i said yes and then it poped up saying that it was sucessfully added. but the video that i was going to sync to my zune ( vidoe is in .avi format) isnt showing. i have the zune 2 software and a zune 4gb .

Just figured I'd point out for you guys: THIS HACK DOESN'T WORK ON ZUNE v. 2.x. Perhaps, read the rest of the thread next time. ; )
