It says that my Videos are already on the device, but not showing up on zune ??
My zune works and synchs mp3. I downloaded the Multi-Ext mod, BUT Have a problem now and they do not show up on zune and so i can't play these
It says that my Videos are already on the device, but they are not showing up on zune. In Zune computer software..under videos, when I doubleclick on a video, I get this Error message:
Zune software encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help.
Last night I downloaded the mod and they converted, but on the computer Zune software, it still says the file is a mpg. I have various music videos (mpg) and one avi, and some mp4. These are unprotected files!!
I have XP Pro, SP2, a great video and sound card, and
Media player 11.0
I have Zune version 1.4 (485) Hardware 2.0
My music files are now on the Zune
I really want the zune to play music videos and avi, etc. But I do not want to have to get 3rd party software. Please help, I am a secretary and not very good with this techy stuff, but i try!

it seems the hacks won't work on zune 2.1 i ran the extenstion mod and followed the instructions (just open the two files) with the zune unplugged and the zune software closed. i can't drag a wav file in there this sucks. it worked just fine on the older version of zune. help please.
Got this mod to work, but at first it did not work, there is Only one zip file now, just open it, if you do not succeed at first synching, try again, but it says that your files are converting then:
Reset the zune, turn off software on computer and try again. I found that if the files are showing up on the Zune software (mpg's or music videos) then:
drag them to the Right side of the screen, Under where it says Synch options, and try to synch again. Be patient before undoing the Mod, because it works, try to ask questions and try it again !@!! I have windows xp pro sp2 and zune version 1.4 (485)
I am scared to update the software though, I will wait on that part, because it might mess up the Mod??

i actually have the new software and the mods aren't working...so yeah don't update! but you need to update to get the firmware which is why i did it. thanks for you help regardless.

It's only one reg file now, all you do is add it to the registry and it's done. However, this hack only works for the first generation of the software. It does not yet work on the new software.

this mod did work on my zune 30 gig until i updated to the new platform. :::LAME::: any word on anyone developing a similar mod to work on the new software??
YEs I do have klite, and I do have an issue... however I have a frind who swears by klite and has no issues... I will try to get rid of klite and see how it does, wish me luck.. if you have already found the cause of the issue, please get back to me. thank you
EDIT: tried the reg edit fix (replaing mediaplayer with "zune" but the change doesnt stay in effect when I run the .reg file I had just edited.... what perhaps do i name the .reg file when I export it? I have tried everything else.... and I just cant xvids to convert.. its driving me bonkers... any luck that i may have missed reading through the posts?
I'm completely confused how to install this, when I unzip the file I get 1 file and when I double click it, it trys to overwrite my registry in my computer. Sorry I'm new to this
