This doesn't seem to work with x64 Vista.

Some of the file locations are hard coded to C:\Program Files\
however
64-bit uses the Program Files (x86) folder.

Any suggestions?

Not at all. How are they to know? If paranoid, you could always revert back to the original zuneloc.dll or uninstall the software completely.

Ive had to use this hack:
dubdubdub.zune-online.com/news/zune/zune-on-windows-xp-pro-64-bit.html
to even allow the Zune software to run on my system. Ive tried using the method of renames and all of the registry keys posted. None have worked. IM about to install both the software and these hacks onto a VMware machine and see if it will air better on it. I'll post my results. Im not too sure why XP 64 isnt supported nor why MS has taken such a nice device and put such ridiculous locks on it.

Hopefully we can eventually find one definitive way to get AVI and other content onto our devices.

Hack worked on VMWARE PC with XP Pro x86 installed.
However now comes the codec issue. It starts to synch then failes.
WIll keep investigating for another hour or so. Want to bring office space around with me tomorrow.

No, i have not gotten it to work.
Until more news is posted or a better, more reliable hack is made i will just use imTOO and convert things to MP4 and add them to my ZUNE properly.

the multi extension works pretty well... but I'd rather use a converter, cause it keeps the file on the computer, and it's more customizable.

however the zune software (unlike most converters) will not smash the widescreen vids. you have to change the frame size with the third party stuff.

i havent notice any problems....
Pridion break, Dodgeball, Office space... all come out looking alazing on my zune.

some people have problems causing the quality to be pretty low... dunno what causes it... but a simple change in the options fixes it.

I just downloaded the hack and so far so good. I got tired for converting a movie to MP4 then having Zune convert it again.

Thanks for the 1 STOP SHOP. Right now I'm converting a mpg movie, next I'm gong to try an AVI If that goes as well as expected then I'm hooked on this site.

it should take you 5 minutes to find something
just make sure you use the rigth key words and leave off anything unnecessary

do u have 2 restart ur comp? coz i tried using it - didnt sync - restarted zune - didnt sync. so would it help 2 restart my comp?
