i crimped my usb/charger,my friend spliced the cord. badly,i might add. anywayz,now it wont charge or turn on at all. did i hopefully just fry the battery?did i do damage to anything else? will the battery replacement kit suffice?
Assuming you are out of warranty, you might want to open it up / disconnect the battery / reconnect the battery and see what happens. It could be the battery, or you might have fried the circuit board - there's no way to know.
If that doesn't work, it's up to you if you want to attempt a battery replacement. It might be worth the $10 investment to try it.
