[SOLVED] I'm a New Zune owner and I hate the software

Hi people!

I'm a new Zune owner and this is my first post. I think that everybody is like me and hate the damn zune software. Well it's not that I hate it so much but my pc can't stand it. It takes all of the CPU usage and my pc automaticly shut off after 5min. The pc I use is a toshiba satelite with an amd turion 64 2 core with 3gb of ram. So I don't think the prob is with my pc coz it has enough performance. Maybe I have to much music in my collection (2500 albums)

It seems that there is a way to not use the software but does this hack works with the most recent version. It will be nice if someone could guide me in this...

Use UnZoone to remove the old installation and reinstall using the installer package from Zune.net | Download Zune software.

Go to settings - display and change the display or whatever to the lowest setting. It used to lag my computer with 2 GB RAM, but now it's not so bad.

this happens to alot of people but like locke said uninstall the software and install it from zune.net this helped me alot.

Thanks for answering me that quick!
But I don't understand what you say about downloading the software on zune.net. Well that's what I did at first coz they don't give any cd with the device.

I followed the advice of bolt and turn the display to minimal but it's still going crazy after few minutes. Even if I do nothing the CPU goes at 99% and my pc fan makes a new noise that tells me shut that friggin program!!

I am ready to try anything to make me able of using this mp3 player. I don't want to bring it back to futureshop

He's saying to uninstall and reinstall, because a lot of problems can be fixed by simply reinstalling the software.

Well I uninstalled it with unzoone and reinstalled after.
It seems to work!! It's using a lot of CPU b ut my more like 30% and my doesn't automaticly shut down. Thank you guys for the advices I'll now reconsider keeping this media player.

But if there is a trick to make it looks like a usb drive and use explorer please tell me.
