Question Will Any ZIF Hard Drive Fit My "Brick"?

i've heard with the 30's you can swap out the 30Gb hard drive for up to a 260Gb, because of the size of the case, as long as you use a ZIF hard drive.

...soo is this true or just the ramblings of idiots who just say things to sound cool!?

I don't think it is true.. there is no 260gb Hard Drive as far as I know..
maybe you mean 2 x 60gb HDD.. and that will require exterior spacing.

I've read up on this a bit. The Zune 30 use a ZIF-based 5mm 1.8inch drive. I've heard that you can replace this with a larger 5mm drive, or even an 8mm drive if you remove to top portion of the drive to fit it into the case (I haven't tried this myself, however).

I have no idea if the new 240GB Toshiba 1.8in 8mm drive works in the Zune 30. RapidRepair claims it does not. It could be a limitation in the Zune firmware.
