How do we get new games on our zunes? is there a games section on the marketplace? id rather not do the whole CTP thing again, it was a pain.

There is no need to bump this thread. Anyways, there might be a few, I remember when they were releasing the ctp of XNA, they showed that space shooter game, which might be another game they release, but no one really knows.

There's been no announcements of any official ways to get games onto a Zune other than using Game Studio. No hints about a marketplace either. The only vagueness is that in the Xbox Community Games one of the fields you can sort by is "Platform" which right now is Xbox 360 only. Maybe one day Windows and/or Zune will be included but there is no announcement there either.

For 3.0 the Game Studio packaging tool now seems to work for ZuneProjects. So you can make a .ccgame file to hand around. But the unpackage tool only comes with Game Studio too and it doesn't look like it deploys the runtimes so you have to have deployed once from Game Studio.

Unofficially - There is the RIG tool which works well (its being fixed for 3.0 right now I think) but has the disadvantage that you need to have used Game Studio at least once.

Microsoft are not making it easy for people other than developers to deploy games so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

It's not that big of a deal to have to open a file and click deploy.

Yes it will. You just have to get XNA 3.0 BETA instead of CTP.

That link is broken. You have to right-click links and select Copy Link Location if you want to copy/paste them.

You need games that have been converted to or are built for 3.0. Those can be found in the 3.0 games/apps threads that are stickied in the respective forums.
