You do realize that this is my hack and if you change the text so it doesn't give me credit then that's considered stealing? It's cool if you keep it for yourself modified, but just don't distribute it modified ok?

not the BIGGEST issue in the world, but i get the notification of the Guest Zune Hack appearing everytime i connect the ONE Zune i've ever used with this computer (also, the only computer i've ever sync'd this Zune with), is that possibly something i've done to make it think its a different Zune or that the Zune has been "registered" with another computer? like i said, its not a big deal, just wanted to know what the dev and others think
if you're going to call me a fanboy, at least know the facts:
PS3 > XBOX360 > Wii
Micro$oft > Apple, thus, Zune > all iPods
Blu-Ray > HD-DVD
Beretta > everything else
Clemson University > your school
Well, this hack allows you to easily sync songs to your Zune from multiple computers
-or-
If you Zune Player or Zune Program got messed up and you don't want to have to delete everything off of your Zune to continue using it, use this hack.
I read through all the posts and it is a stupid question. But my pc recently died so if I understand correctly by using this hack on a different pc would I be able to recieve the next update and not have my library effected(on the zune)? Would I even have to run this to only recieve the update? Sorry for my questions. ><
hey i have a question, sorry if this is in the wrong place. recently my computer died almost entirely. had to reformat all of my harddrives and i would like to get the music off of my zune and back onto my comp. is there any way to do this with this software? btw, i love the hack! great work. thanks again.
Hello, I'm new to the forum. Sounds like a great hack, I'll give it a shot tonight
Was think'n though, sure would be nice if the hack could be installed to the zune itself. Then the zune could rome from PC to PC with no worries. Just a thought...
to those having PC problems - no, the hack really doesn't have anything to do with putting music FROM the Zune TO your PC, but in case you load the Zune OEM software and it has an issue, giving you the "Relocating?" screen, use the hack so it thinks your Zune is the home Zune.... in other words, put the hack on your computer regardless, it won't hurt, but it shouldn't be necessary if you're just trying to put music back onto the PC

So if I use this hack to put files from my secondary computer onto my zune will it confuse my main computer when I sync with songs it doesn't know about on the zune?
Also, does this create any kind of problems when it comes to removing songs from the zune? Would I have to log in the computer that I uploaded the song from to remove it?
Sorry for all the newbiness; thanks for all the work you guys put into fixing things that shouldn't need fixing.

Let me get this straight,
1) You broke the EULA to hack the software - Cool, Props!
2) You shared it with the world - Awesome! Respect!
3) You put your name in the splash screen of the software that someone else wrote - ok, a bit vain but hey, it's your hack! I'm cool with that.
4) But heres the part I'm confused about - If I change the .js file text inside of the .dll file because I don't want to see your name every time I connect a buddies' Zune . . . I am "STEALING from YOU???"
Modding your hack is stealing from you? Reaaaaaaally. Interesting logic. And you'll report me to whom?
Wanna re-think that?
So, I have the .dll file in a zip file. Marsh, you make the call. I can upload it here - or not. (I could actually upload it wherever I please but I'm kinda old school - friendly and the like)
The text now reads "Welcome to the Open Social" , "Music Wants To Be Free"
Everyone knows you were the first. It's all over digg and every zune board in the world. Maybe a graceful bow and a hearty "Enjoy" to the scene at this point? An update to Wikipedia?
Marsh - Thoughts?
Readers? Opinions and Thoughts?
Ahhhh, a civil conversation in the tubes of the Internets. . . what next?
I have only had one minor problem with the Guest Mod. It allows you to Sync with the modded computer. This caused my Zune to be seen as a Guest on my original PC. If I don't force the sync then there is no ill effects. (This is user error not mod error!!!)
