I am very excited today to inform you all of a new hack created by one of our members, Marshillboy. Through his ingenius reasoning and programming know-how, he has given us the opportunity to proudly release the "No Guest Hack", exclusively from ZuneBoards.
What does this do you may ask? Well, this hack will eliminate "Guest Syncing" forever. It's hard to explain, so I've brought some visual aids:
In the Zune program, when you plug in a Zune that is not registered as the "Home" Zune, you get a nasty pop up that looks like this:
This not only disallows you from fully syncing to any Zune other than your own, ifyou had to reinstall the Zune program or it messed up for any reason, it also forces you to delete everything off of your Zune before you can register it as the regular Zune. Thankfully, you can kiss your troubles goodbye with Marshillboy's Guest Zune Hack. After installing it and connecting a Guest Zune, you will get a pop up that now looks like this:
Don't worry, this will not mess up your Zune in any way (I've tested it myself). After you've clicked "Next", this just tricks the program into thinking the Zune you've connected is the normal one.
Marshillboy, much props to you for this one, duder...
This has been a MAJOR frustration with the Zune software up until this point. Finally!!! Multiple computers, here comes my Zune! :grin1:
Also...
YOU GOT LIFEHACKED!!!! Congrats!!!

As Jesus, you should know everything!!! lol.
When you install the patch, it asks if you want to make a backup file of the original ZuneLoc.dll file. Agree, and let it create the backup. It will make a new file named ZuneLoc Backup.dll. If you want to "unistall" the patch, just delete ZuneLoc.dll, and rename ZuneLoc Backup.dll to ZuneLoc.dll.
We have a forum especially for this. Try to post in the right forum, man.

Thanks anyway
Here at ZuneBoards there is an unspoken rule about feedback on hacks: If you do like it, don't hit it. If you don't like this hack, instead of leaving a useless and demeaning comment about something that one of us worked on for an unknown amount of time, why not make the hack better yourself and repost it?
hey guys, could you help me out and figure out what I am doing wrong.
I am using vista, I copied the hack into my zune folder (left it open)
Went to services and stopped the zune program thing (left it open)
Went back and ran the hack and left the file to be changed as is and I get the following error.
Call me newb - but what is the point of this? Exactly what actions can you now perform that you couldn't before? One feature I'm looking for on a guest computer is being able to make a playlist with songs from the Zune & from the computer.

Well, this hack allows you to easily sync songs to your Zune from multiple computers

If you Zune Player or Zune Program got messed up and you don't want to have to delete everything off of your Zune to continue using it, use this hack.
