Default How do I remove "games" from the menu list?
Hello, I'm a n00b....
I emptied and reloaded my stuff on my zune (as was suggested in another thread) and it ended up being a waste of time because it didn't work
I had a hard time with games, wasn't working well. I really don't care about the games, though, but the "games" option on my menu is bothering me, seeing to the fact that it's empty anyway. Guess it's an OCD thing, lol. So I just want to get rid of it. Also, now my preloaded stuff is gone I only miss that rocketship video, it was funny. Anyway I could get that back?

EDIT: Found a way to get the preloaded stuff back, just need to know how to get rid of "games" on menu.

you have to revert to a firmware/software before 2.5..... good luck

You would have to do a hard reset(Back+Right+Play i think?) and reinstall the firmware onto your zune and the games menu will be gone.
WARNING: This will delete your firmware and media off your zune.
You don't really have to go back before 2.5, the games menu is only added when you connect your zune to XNA.

Why does everyone care about this? Just leave the menu option there and forget about it. It's just a ton of stupid work to get rid of it for really no gain at all.

Get a piece of tape to obscure bottom area and dont go down too much. Thatl do it

Actually, doing the hard reset and then updating is acutally quite simple, takes two parts

1) Hold the back button and up on the scroll pad = the device restarts
2) As the zuen logo comes up when the device is restarting quickly hold back, right on the scroll pad, and the play button, iff doen correctly it will say wait and will begint o erase everything, afterwards it will tell you to connect your device to a pc and to open up the software in order for it to downlaod the firmware. CHEERS
