how do i get itunes to recognize my zune once i have "unlocked" it?? rest assured im only trying to get into itunes for videos and if there is an easier way to get itunes store videos onto zune please tell me!! thanks

iTunes support in is Beta and doesn't currently work.

I have it working. my zune 30 is synching w wmp11 in vista 32-bit... very inconvenient to get it started, and problematic getting it to synchronize any music at all, but working none the less.

looking forward to improved versions of zalternator

No you don't. zune alternator supports both 1.x and 2.x softwares and firmwares.

First you get a video drm stripper.
2nd download the video from itunes.
3rd, strip the drm
4th drag and drop to your zune software.

You must perform the drm stripping step even if you use itunes to sync. Zune doens't play itune drmed videos.

You get used to it and already there are programs that aid in the automation such as killing the Zune process: http://zuneboards.com/staff/Diz/zAlt/KillZune.exe

There's already one update that hasn't patched the issue ; )

Really, there's no need to update the software since this has come about. The hole won't get patched if the software isn't updated.

"Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct."

Both are good.
It's basically a matter of personal preference.
But MediaMonkey has a Zune 1 skin

I take it nobody's figured out a way to permanently unlock your Zune? (Sorry if this has been addressed - there was a lot of stuff to read through before my post)

Also, I was wondering if you update to the 2.x firmware and then sync using WMP11, will dynamic playlists work* on your Zune?

*I say "work", but they never really worked properly anyway, did they? What I mean is, will they sync (even though they won't be truly dynamic) or will they just turn up empty, like in the Zune 2.x software?
